You Already Know the Right People — You Just Haven’t Asked the Right Questions
Apr 22, 2025
"Your next opportunity probably isn’t a stranger. It’s someone already in your phone."
We often overlook the network we’ve already built.
1. Revisit Your Past Conversations
Scroll back. Look through old DM's, emails, and LinkedIn connections. There are likely 5–10 people who already trust you, but don’t know how to help you.
2. Ask Better Questions
Instead of "Know anyone who needs X?" try:
-
"Who do you know who runs events for business owners?"
-
"Who in your network supports small business marketing?"
3. Give Them a Story to Share
Equip people with a short story or example of how you help.
Stories stick. They’ll repeat them.
